Summary: CamCut processes your Tesla dashcam videos entirely on your device. We don't collect, transmit, or store your videos, telemetry, or any personal information. No data ever leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it.

1. Introduction

CamCut is developed and operated by EdgeCase Labs LLC, a California limited liability company ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the CamCut mobile application (the "App").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

CamCut is built with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, transmit, or store:

Your Tesla dashcam videos or any video content
GPS coordinates, location data, or driving routes
Vehicle telemetry (speed, G-force, steering angle, gear, autopilot status)
Your name, email address, or contact information
Your Apple ID or account credentials
Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or analytics data
Usage patterns, screen views, or feature interactions
Crash logs or diagnostic reports
Photos, contacts, calendar, or other personal data outside the App

We have no servers that receive your data. There is no account to create. There is nothing to log in to.

3. Local Processing

All video importing, editing, composition, overlay rendering, and export happens entirely on your iPhone. Your footage never leaves your device unless you explicitly share or export it using iOS's standard share sheet.

The App requires access to files you explicitly select (dashcam footage from USB or your device storage) and your Photo Library only if you choose to save exported videos there. We do not access any files you have not deliberately chosen to import.

4. Apple Frameworks

CamCut uses standard Apple frameworks including AVFoundation, MapKit, and the Photos framework. These frameworks may access Apple services (such as loading map tiles from Apple's servers when a map overlay is used). Any such access is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We do not receive or store any data from these interactions.

5. In-App Purchases

CamCut offers an optional one-time purchase ("CamCut Premium") to unlock overlay features. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a cryptographic receipt to verify that a purchase has been made. We do not receive your payment method, billing address, Apple ID, or any financial information.

6. Children's Privacy

CamCut is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. When material changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
